CalendarToday, the martial art of Pencak Silat is being developed in 15 regions of Kazakhstan, with adaptation programs underway in 4 additional regions. Currently, more than 3,000 people, aged 4 to 60, are actively practicing Pencak Silat.
Our primary goal is to achieve the inclusion of Silat in the Commonwealth Games, Islamic Games, Asian Martial Arts Games, and to have Pencak Silat recognized as an Olympic sport.
The 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Pencak Silat, organized by the International Pencak Silat Federation (IPSF), concluded in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Islamic Solidarity Games are organized by the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA).
Kazakh athlete Aliyam Azizova won a bronze medal, demonstrating exceptional skill and remarkable determination.
About 400 athletes from 12 countries took part. The Kazakhstan team, represented by 23 athletes, performed admirably on the international stage and achieved excellent results. The team’s tally included 4 gold, 5 silver, and 16 bronze medals.
The tournament brought together about 400 athletes from 12 countries. Kazakhstan was represented by 20 athletes. As a result, our team won 1 silver and 9 bronze medals.
Kazakh pesilats won a total of 32 medals: 10 gold, 7 silver, and 15 bronze. The title of “Best Athlete of the Championship” was awarded to Rinat Kurmanzhan, who claimed gold in the 45 kg category.
The competition is held among adult participants.
