About the Pencak Silat Association
Today, the martial art of Pencak Silat is being developed in 15 regions of Kazakhstan, with adaptation programs underway in 4 more regions.
Every year, the Pencak Silat Association organizes over 10 tournaments in various cities across Kazakhstan for this sport. Currently, more than 3,000 people, aged 4 to 60, are actively practicing Pencak Silat.
This sport has great potential to become part of the Olympic family in the near future.
RECOGNITION OF THE NOC OF THE RK
The Association "PENCAK SILAT" received recognition from the NOC of the Republic of Kazakhstan on September 9, 2019
The Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan Musaibekov Saken Zhunusbekovich in a solemn ceremony presented the President of the Association "PENCAK SILAT" of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gadzhiev Gadzhi Shapiyevech with a certificate of recognition by the Association of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The certificate confirms that the association "PENCAK SILAT" is engaged in specific, real and long-term sports activities to develop the sport of Penchak Silat in Kazakhstan.
According to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Physical Culture and Sports", the Federation's recognition by the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the conditions for passing the industry accreditation procedure in the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This gives the Federation the authority to develop this sport on the territory of Kazakhstan.
Membership in Asian Pencak Silat Federation
On December 17, 2018, the World Pencak Silat Championship was held in Singapore. The representative of Kazakhstan, Gadzhi Gadzhiev, was awarded a certificate confirming membership in the Asian Pencak Silat Federation.
